Here you’ll find the really big multi-sport events like the Olympic and Commonwealth games:

2008 Olympics takes place in Beijing, the capital of China, from 8 August to 24 August

2008 Paralympics takes place in Beijing from 6 September to 17 September

2010 Winter Olympics takes place in Vancouver, Canada from 12 to 28 February

2012 Olympics and Paralympics takes place in London, the capital of the United Kingdom, the Olympics from 27 July to 12 August, and the Paralympics from 29 August to 9 September.
