Want a hyper-fast indoor racquet sport for singles or couples? A game that improves fitness, speed and agility?
Squash is a played in a small indoor court, with a small hollow ‘squashy’ ball and light racquets. Squash is popular internationally and one of the top ten UK sports.
Squash is played something like lawn tennis, except that the ball must bounce off the “front” wall (which the players face) instead of going over a net. The ball also can be bounced off any of the walls, making the game very fast and vigorous. Squash balls come in different speeds, for different standards of play, fitness and agility. It is played as ‘singles’ or, with four players, as ‘doubles’.
Squash is much more energetic than most sports, and an hour’s court hire gives a good workout.
