Want an easy yet skilful sport of kings and queens, that you can learn inside or outdoors?
Archery is the age-old art of shooting with bow and arrows. Once the key to hunting and warfare, archery is now a fun sport that is played at all levels up to a high-tech Olympic and Paralympic standard.
Target archery takes accuracy, strength and concentration. For safety, and to get access to archery shooting ranges (called “Butts”) you must learn archery at a club course or evening class. Beginner’s equipment is often provided. Archery is also popular at historical re-enactments, and you may be able give it a go there.
